CANCELLATION POLICY COMINSERATE WITH 'LEAD-IN' BOOKING TIMES.

While we have a wide range of 'lead-in bookings', from up to a year out through to a week ahead, most are for a period substantially ahead of the time.

For most, it is a trip which they have earmarked especially to do and often substantial planning goes into their full trip ( as was likely with yours).

As such, there is less probability that we are able to obtain substitute bookings at short notice, and may already have had 'lost opportunity' from previous inquiries for those dates, which we may have had to turn away.

This along with only taking a Deposit prepayment, governs our Cancellation Policy.

Cancellation Policy Modification Date - 8th April 2014

D01YOU ARE OBLIGATED TO NOTIFY US.

If you cancel your booking for any reason, you must notify us in writing (by email is sufficient provided we provide a confirmation email that we have received it).


D02DEFINITION OF "COMMENCEMENT".

Commencement of your first activity or stay with us shall be denoted here as Commencement.


D03YOUR PREPAYMENT TO US.

(a)
Your pre-payment to Tanna Adventures is the Deposit only. We do not take full payment up front, and your Final Payment occurs only at the end of your time with us.


(b)
Any refunds you receive from us, and conversely any loss of "monies" you incur, as a result of you cancelling your Booking is in regard to your Deposit only.


D04CANCELLATION 28 DAYS (OR MORE) AWAY FROM COMMENCEMENT.

For cancellations made more than 28 days away from Commencement - 100% of your Deposit (minus bank/merchant facility fees) will be refunded.


D05CANCELLATION BETWEEN 14 - 28 DAYS AWAY FROM COMMENCEMENT.

For cancellations made less than 28 days away, but more than 14 days away from Commencement - 50% of your Deposit (minus bank/merchant facility fees) will be refunded.


D06CANCELLATION LESS THAN 14 DAYS AWAY FROM COMMENCEMENT.

For cancellations made less than 14 days away, from Commencement your Deposit is fully non-refundable.


D07REFUNDS SUBJECT TO BANK/MERCHANT FACILITY FEES.

Any refunds shall be subject to any deductions made by PayPal, Credit Card companies or Banks as applicable to the transfer on monies.


E08IF YOU SIMPLY DON'T SHOW UP.

If you simply do not turn up without notifying us in writing shall be taken as a No-Show, and in this case you authorise us to take payment for the full amount of your Quoted Price given to you and accepted by you as a part of these Terms and Conditions.


DO9EARLY DEPARTURE

No refund will be given for early departure, and you will be required to pay for the full time of your Accommodation Booking on your Formal Documents.


D10INCLEMENT WEATHER AND ILLNNESS.

Refunds cannot be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather or illness, and you will be required to pay for the full time of your Accommodation Booking on your Formal Documents. We recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to protect you in this regard.


D11BOOKINGS MAY BE TRANSFERED.

Bookings may be transferred (once only) to a future date, provided that the request to transfer :


(a)
Is made at least 28 days before Commencement, and


(b)
Is for the same Bungalow and/or Itinerary, and


(c)
Any extra days and activities included in your future booking are paid for, extra to your quoted price, and


(d)
The re-booked Commencement date is not later than twelve(12) months after the original Commencement date, and


(e)
The initial Deposit paid shall be held over by Tanna-Adventures for the transferred booking, with any difference due also paid by the guest at the time of making the 'transfered' booking, and


(f)
The applicable tariff's at the rebooked date ( if different to the initial tariff) is applied to the entire booking, and the original amount deducted. The difference (in the Deposit) is to be paid for at the time of carrying out the 'transfer' booking, with the revised tariff's also being applied to the Final Payment Formal Documents.


D12CHANGES TO OUR CANCELLATION POLICY.

If we change our Cancellation policy, we will post these on this page and change the privacy policy modification date.
